The Estonian government says it shares concerns raised by students over low levels of funding for research and higher education in the country.
In a statement sent to Research Professional News on 13 September, Margus Haidak, head of the higher education department in Estonia’s education and research ministry, indicated that fears over a potential funding dearth raised by student unions in recent days were valid.
“Although the nominal growth of financing of higher education and research has risen over [the] past few years, the ministry shares the concern about financing of higher education and research,” he said.
