Croatia’s science foundation accused of cyberbullying

Foundation reprimands researcher who reported bullying

Croatia’s science foundation has reprimanded one of its grantees for ethics violations after she used its money to study whether it had carried out “cyberbullying” of researchers.

Anna Maria Getoš Kalac, an associated law professor at the University of Zagreb, conducted an online survey in early December 2019 of the foundation’s grantees as part of a wider cyberbullying project the foundation funded. She detected what she called “cyberbullying by the faceless bureaucracy of the foundation”.
