Spanish government coordinates science and university ministries

New coordination body to be formed within three months

Spain’s council of ministers has approved a royal decree to establish a “coordinating body” between the ministry of science and innovation and the ministry of universities.

The body, announced on 28 January, is intended to “guarantee the cohesive operation of the administration in matters of university research”, the government said. It is to be launched within three months.
