Government also sets up council to accelerate creation of Spanish Space Agency

The Spanish government has approved a €3 billion plan for attracting scientists and innovators to Spain, and retaining those already working there.

The plan was approved by Spain’s council of ministers on 14 June. It has three main objectives: to create career opportunities in the public science system, to remove barriers for international scientists wanting to work in Spain and to encourage researchers from abroad to engage with innovation.
