Denmark mulls admin cuts for foreign scientists

Morten Østergaard, the newly appointed Danish minister for research and higher education, wants Denmark to be an “open nation”, welcoming international talent and cooperation, instead of closing in on itself and setting up bureaucratic borders.

“Denmark should be a magnet for brilliant students and researchers”, he said in a speech during the National Danish Research Foundation’s 20th anniversary on 28 October.
