Novo Nordisk Foundation funding lures researchers to Denmark

Two established life sciences researchers are being awarded Laureate Research Grants by the Novo Nordisk Foundation to move their labs to the University of Copenhagen.

One of the two awardees, Stephen Cohen, is at present at the National University of Singapore and works on regulating cell development. Kenn Gerdes works at Newcastle University on persistence in bacteria. Both are expected to spend at least seven years working in Denmark.
