Denmark to spend kr50 million on mobility grants

The Danish independent research council, Det Frie Forskningsråd, will spend 50 million Danish kroner (€6.7m) on an exchange programme that aims to enhance researcher mobility.

The Mobilex programme, run in cooperation between the Marie Curie programme of Framework 7 and Det Frie Forskningsråd, will hand out 78 grants, each lasting for 24 months. A total of 24 of these grants will be awarded to Danish researchers to work abroad.

“The award will give more researchers the courage to break away from the familiar surroundings and seek new approaches to their ideas in a foreign context,” said Peter Munk Christiansen, chairman of Det Frie Forskningsråd.
