Denmark opens Scandinavia’s first Max Planck institute

The Max-Planck Odense Center on the Biodemography of Aging, located at the University of Southern Denmark, is holding its grand opening on 31 January.

The centre will do research into ageing that combines approaches from epidemiology, demography, medicine, biology, mathematics and statistics. It aims to improve our understanding of what makes people live longer and stay healthier as they age, and the implications of longer lifespans for society.
