Researchers take on international conflicts

A research centre opening at the University of Copenhagen is looking at how to intervene in conflict situations without using military force.

The Centre for Resolution of International Conflicts (CRIC) will focus on the role of historical memories in conflicts and look at the effects of non-military actors, such as the media and western politicians. It aims to work with governments and non-governmental organisations to find more effective ways of preventing conflicts from escalating into violence.
