Lundbeck increases funding

The Lundbeck Foundation, Denmark’s industrial research foundation, said it increased the total value of its grants from 376 million Danish kroner (€50m) to kr474m between 2013 and 2014.

In its annual report published on 9 April, the Lundbeck Foundation, which supports the work of the Danish drug firm Lundbeck, said that it funded 643 scientists and technical staff during this period. The rise in grant money was due to Lundbeck’s increased profits between 2013 and 2013, from kr1.2bn to 2.2bn, the foundation said.

The foundation said that it intended to give out kr3bn for research in biomedicine and health sciences by 2020.
