The Nordic research funder Nordforsk has allocated 40 million Norwegian kroner (€4.6m) to four projects on health registers.
The projects will set up research infrastructure to store socio-economic and health registry data, Nordforsk said in a statement on 17 June. The data will then be used for research on societal challenges related to health and welfare, and to inform policy.
Each project will receive up to kr10m, with the money to be spent over a three-year period. The projects include a pilot Nordic rheumatology register, and a project to track the effects of childhood cancer.
