The University of Copenhagen will take over responsibility for giving research-based advice to the government on veterinary medicine from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
Denmark’s ministry of environment and food told DTU on 26 June that veterinary advisory duties would be transferred to the University of Copenhagen and the Statens Serum Institut, a health research institution, from 2020.
The change follows a government decision to open the role out to competition in 2016.
