The number of people applying to study at a Danish higher education institution has dropped by 3.7 per cent from last year, the government has said.
Universities received 90,563 applications from prospective students this year, down from 94,061 a year ago. However, this does not mean that the enrolment rate will be lower, the government said in a statement on 5 July.
Disciplines that experienced the biggest drop in applications was the arts, with a 26 per cent drop, and theology with a 20 per cent drop.
