A centre aimed at boosting the Nordic start-up environment on the east coast of the United States has been opened.
The centre, inaugurated on 21 September, is funded by the governments of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, as well as by the Nordic Council of Ministers and Nordic Innovation. It will act as an incubator and offer Nordic start-up companies assistance with legal issues, tax, work permits and other challenges that they face in establishing a business in the US.
The incubator is a three-year pilot project and is expected to become self-sustaining after that.
