The Danish parliament has scheduled a hearing in November to figure out how to approach artificial intelligence R&D and ensure Denmark’s researchers stay ahead in the field.

The event will feed into a plan to create a long-term strategy on AI, which will come with 300 million Danish kroner (€40m) in funding, the parliament said.
“AI and the algorithms that lie behind it are gaining greater and greater influence on our lives, and as a competitive factor for Danish businesses,” the parliament said in its announcement.
