A Massive Open Online Course on neutron scattering is to be launched by a group of Nordic universities, with 7 million Norwegian kroner (€737,000) in funding.
NordForsk, a pan-Nordic research funder, closed its hunt for a consortium leader to build the Mooc on 21 September. The funder has not yet revealed who will lead the project, but said it would pick a senior researcher with links to European projects.
The funding was on offer to institutions in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Other countries were also invited to participate but would have to finance their contribution.
