Finland leads Eurasia arctic climate programme

Finnish research institutes have taken the lead in a collaborative project on Arctic climate change between European, Russian and Chinese institutes.

The 3 October announcement came during an international PanEurasian Experiment (PEEX) meeting this week in Helsinki, organised by the Finnish Meteorological Institute and Helsinki University. The meeting aimed to establish research networks to help monitoring the changes in the ice cover and biodiversity in northern Europe and Asia caused by climate change.
