Patient safety research gets boost in Finland

A research centre for health care impact and patient safety will be established in Finland alongside the country’s first ever professorship on patient safety, the University of Eastern Finland announced on 12 November.

A press release from the university says that patient safety research suffers from a lack of coordination, which the research centre will aim to rectify.
