Riitta Mustonen, the director of the Academy of Finland’s international and strategic operations, has been named as the first holder of a new top job coordinating Nordic and European research activities.
Mustonen will take up the four-year post at the Nordic Council of Ministers on 21 February. In her role, she will manage the relationship between the European Research Area and the Nordic Research and Innovation Area.
