Finno-Chinese innovation centre expands to Beijing

An innovation centre is setting up a second base in Beijing with the goal to increase research investments by Finnish businesses, according to business promotion agency Finpro.

The FinChi centre, managed by Finpro with support from Chinese partners, is supposed to help Finnish companies start business and research collaborations in the growing Chinese market. The Beijing outpost is also meant to boost Finnish business investment in China, according to a statement announcing its launch.

“There is a clear demand for FinChi actions in Beijing, as the area has some of the world’s most important science and technology parks," said Finpro CEO Kari Häyrinen. "The new project promotes Finnish and Chinese companies and joint research projects in the area."
