The governments of Finland and China have signed a deal to strengthen cooperation in humanities and social sciences research.
The agreement between the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Finland’s ministry of culture and education was announced on 3 November. The aim is to increase cooperation between Finnish and Chinese universities.
Zhao Shengxuan, the vice president of CASS, signed the deal during his state visit to Finland on 30 and 31 October. Areas of cooperation include common seminars and symposiums, researcher training, increasing mobility between researchers, and establishing summer school programmes in the social sciences and humanities.
