The Academy of Finland and the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters are planning to create a support system to help researchers develop their careers.
Researchers can begin applying to the programme in August, the two academies said on 21 June. The programme is meant to encourage academics to become independent investigators, and will be run by experienced researchers, they said.
The programme is aimed at researchers who are leading their first project or academic consortium.
