Programme launched to boost wellbeing in the work place

The VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is teaming up with the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health to research improvements to the way people work.

The project is meant to improve the physical fitness and mental health of Finland’s employed population in a bid to lighten the burden on the country’s health system, VTT announced on 12 April.

The two partners will draw on Finland’s health databases and the latest innovations, such as artificial intelligence, VTT said. They will specifically look at changes in the workplace brought about by demographic developments and technical innovation, and how this affects the population.
