Modernise! Norway minister tells universities

Tora Aasland, Norway’s research minister, has said that Norway’s universities are in need of modernisation.

Speaking at the opening of a conference attended by Norway’s university leaders and the education ministry on 17 January, Aasland said: “Universities and colleges must be in step with time, and preferably in front of it. They need to modernise. They must understand the community better and take their place as the key players they are.”
