Norway to push spending on fish research

Norway will concentrate future marine research spending on fish health and sustainability to make seafood safer, according to a report by the country’s research council Forsnkingsradet.

The report, which was published on 7 November, has been handed over to the Norwegian government. It identifies fish health, sustainable fishing and safe seafood as priorities for future spending. The Forskningsradet adds that it is also important to put more money into research that can help understand the impacts of climate change in the Arctic region.
