The Norwegian government should ensure that Sami politicians are included in strategic discussions within the national research council, according to a report handed to the education ministry on 20 June.
In 2010, the government set up a task-force charged with mapping the research and higher education needs of the Sami population, an ethnic minority group spread over Norway, Sweden and Finland.
