Prime minster reveals plans to boost research spending

Norway wants to continue to up research spending and improve cooperation with industry, according to Jens Stoltenberg, the country’s prime minister.

Speaking at a seminar on research in industry, held on 15 January, Stoltenberg said that research funding would continue to increase this year. He added that more money would be given to research institutes that work with industry. These include centres of excellence, innovation centres and centres for research on sustainable energy.
