Finnmark college to merge with University of Tromsø

Finnmark University College will merge with the University of Tromsø under plans announced by Norway’s government on 15 February.

The newly created university would bear the name University of Tromsø, Norway’s Arctic University, the government said. The merger is scheduled for 1 August 2013, from which point onwards the two institutions will be legally one.
