Space research centre open for business in Bergen

Norway’s latest space research centre, the Birkeland Centre for Space Science at the University of Bergen, has opened its doors this month.

The centre is the first of 13 planned centres of excellence in Norway, which receive funding from Norway’s research council, the Forskningsradet. The centre will receive 160 million Norwegian kronor (€21.2m) over the next ten years.
