Men still dominate senior positions in Nordic science

Almost 80 per cent of all professors and senior researchers in the Nordic countries are men, a report on gender balance shows.

The report on gender balance in research, commissioned by The Nordic Council of Ministers, illustrates that men still dominate the senior level of the job market in science and technology.

In addition the report warns that the that the joint Nordic framework on research, which is supposed to promote research collaboration between Nordic countries, shows little awareness of gender equality.
