Norway’s association of museums, Museumsforbundet, will establish an open-access academic journal in 2015.
In an announcement on 20 April, the Museumsforbundet said that the open-access journal would publish articles by researchers working in cultural history, art history and natural history museums. The aim is to increase the visibility and development of such research, the Museumsforbundet said.
The journal will publish articles in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and English, and plans to release two issues per year. The first issue is expected in the autumn, and the first deadline for article submissions is 1 September, Museumsforbundet said.
