Norway will need 15,000 people with ICT security expertise by 2030—4,000 more than the expected supply, a report has warned.
The report, conducted by the Nordic Institute for Studies of Innovation, Research and Education (Nifu), said that the number of ICT professionals had to be increased by a third to plug the gap.
In a statement last month, the government urged higher education institutes to take into account the increasing need of cybersecurity professionals and to increase the number of students on ICT courses by 500 this year.
