The Research Council of Norway has issued a call for proposals to set up at least 10 centres for research-driven innovation by the end of 2020.
The centres are meant to work with companies and public institutions on bringing innovative research to market and supporting economic growth, the council said in a press release in December 2018.
They will be funded through a scheme established in 2005, which has funded 38 centres so far. The new call is the first following a 2017 evaluation of the scheme, which found that it should focus more on commercialisation and international collaboration.
