The European Commission has asked European Council to consider starting negotiations on an agreement to help issue short-term visas between the EU and Morocco.
The Commission said on 7 October that the proposed changes to the existing visa regulations for the country would particularly benefit students, researchers and business professionals.
Suggestions include simplified documentary evidence requirements, the possibility of issuing multiple-entry visas with longer periods of validity and set deadlines for the processing of visa applications.
