Academia Europaea seeks nominations for membership

Members of the Academy of Europe, Academia Europaea, can propose fellow academics as candidates for membership until 31 May.

Candidates can be from anywhere in the world and are subject to evaluation by a nominations subcommittee. They must then be elected by the academy’s council. Membership in the academy is by invitation only and the nomination and election process occurs annually.

Academia Europaea is made up of scholars in the humanities, arts and sciences. It was founded in 1988 and has around 2,300 members from 43 countries
