Science Europe launches medical sciences committee

Science Europe has established a committee on medical sciences, made up of 13 academics from biomedical disciplines, which will work on shaping policy for medical research.

The committee is expected to take over from the European Science Foundation’s European Medical Research Councils, which had a similar role and held their last meeting in October 2012.

Richard Frackowiak, a director of neuroscience at the CHUV university hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, is chairing the committee.
