EU and China boost research cooperation

The EU and China have agreed a package of research and innovation initiatives relating to agriculture, sustainability and transport.

The measures were agreed at the third EU-China Innovation Cooperation dialogue, which was held on 2 June as a sideline event of the 19th EU-China Summit in Brussels.

Participants in the talks agreed on a set of flagship initiatives on food and agriculture, the environment and sustainable urbanisation, transport and aviation, and biotechnologies for environmental and human health.
