Chemicals companies on both sides of the channel are bracing for a prolonged period of uncertainty after a landmark speech by the UK prime minister Theresa May failed to unblock Brexit talks.
To keep the chemical industry up to date, the European Chemicals Agency launched a web portal on the implications of Brexit for companies on 25 September.
Echa is responsible for implementing the EU’s Reach regulation, which aims ensure that chemicals are handled safely. EU companies intending to use or import restricted chemicals must register them under Reach and comply with its regulations.
