Researchers and students could still get EU funding, if UK agrees to terms
The European Parliament’s Budgets Committee has backed a plan to enable people and organisations in the UK to continue receiving EU funding throughout 2020 if the country leaves the bloc on 31 October without an agreement on the terms of its departure.
“The aim is to minimise any negative impact of the UK’s withdrawal for beneficiaries of EU funding and for the EU budget in the case of a no-deal scenario”, the Parliament said in a press release on 14 October.
