Boost for Horizon 2020 all but guaranteed
The European Council has given its formal approval to the 2020 EU budget deal it provisionally agreed with the European Parliament last week.
If MEPs also rubber stamp the deal on 27 November as expected, it will raise funding for the EU’s R&D programme to €13.5 billion in 2020—an 8.8 per cent increase on 2019.
