Leader of new European Commission department planning to bring in expertise for burgeoning areas
The European Commission’s new directorate-general for the defence industry and space will expand its expertise in line with a growing role for the areas in EU geopolitics, its top official has said.
Speaking to Research Professional News, Timo Pesonen, the head of the department, said he would need “to recruit some new talents” in space policy, defence procurement and financial management.
