New R&D commissioner ‘well prepared’ and ‘enthusiastic’ say early visitors
Mariya Gabriel, EU commissioner for innovation, research, culture, education and youth since 1 December last year, has received glowing reviews after meeting with research leaders in her first month in the role.
“I was really impressed,” said Marta Agostinho, coordinator of the network of life science institutes EU Life. Gabriel was “knew exactly what we were talking about”, she added.
