Collaboration must be weighed against ‘safeguarding’ EU interests, presidency says
Later this month, research ministers are to discuss EU cooperation on research and innovation with countries outside the bloc, including the potential restriction of such links with “specific entities”.
A plan for the 28 February Competitiveness Council meeting, published by the Croatian presidency of the Council on 17 February, asked ministers to consider how the benefits of cooperation should be “balanced against safeguarding [the EU’s] interests”.
