Funding decisions ‘should take gender into account’
EU policies to improve gender equality in research and innovation “must be revised and reinforced”, according to a dedicated advisory group on the issue.
As it stands, recommendations on improving gender equality in research and innovation “are not taken up”, while evaluations on the topic “do not feed into each other”, the Standing Working Group on Gender in Research and Innovation, a configuration of the European Research Area and Innovation Committee, said in a position paper published on 26 May.
