EUA lobbies next countries taking on Council presidencies for ‘urgent reforms’ to realise EU ambitions
“Concrete and urgent reforms” of higher education and research must be ushered in by the next three countries taking up the presidency of the Council of the EU, according to the European University Association.
Council presidencies, which work in trios, coordinate and somewhat steer member states’ EU-related activities. From January, France will take up its six-month presidency, followed by the Czech Republic and then Sweden for a further six months each.
