Senior politicians say European Research Area is ‘on track’ for increased stakeholder engagement

EU politicians have played down concerns among the research community that it is not being sufficiently involved in talks on the future of the European Research Area—a set of EU policies to raise standards in research.

Community leaders told Research Professional News last month that it was “bewildering” and “risky” that they were being given no formal role in the ERA Forum for Transition, a new R&D policymaking body bringing together representatives of European governments, chaired by the European Commission.
