Research cooperation to focus on green transition, digital agenda and global health challenges
Leaders of the EU and India have agreed to strengthen research and innovation ties between the country and the bloc, in particular on environmental sustainability, digitisation and global health challenges.
The promise to “further advance the cooperation and mobility on research and innovation in areas of mutual interest” came in a joint statement published on 8 May, after EU presidents and heads of EU member states held discussions with India’s prime minister Narendra Modi (pictured right) via videoconference the same day.
