Governing body of European Research Council warns attempt to raise standards ‘risks neglecting’ critical areas

The research community has been left disappointed by a major attempt to reinvigorate the EU’s flagship policy package for raising standards and increasing mobility in the R&D sector.

The Pact for Research and Innovation in Europe, put forward by the European Commission, is designed to jump-start stagnant efforts to raise national investment and reinforce academic values via the European Research Area (ERA) initiative.
