Josef Aschbacher tells Royal Society the UK is full of science and engineering excellence
The head of the European Space Agency, Josef Aschbacher, has emphasised that the UK is a valuable contributor to the body, at a time when the EU is mulling whether to collaborate with the country on sensitive technology R&D projects.
Aschbacher (pictured) delivered a post-Brexit love letter to the UK at an event on the future of European space policy hosted by the Royal Society in London on 15 September. Esa—a non-EU, intergovernmental organisation—counts the UK among its 22 member countries.
