Commission presents plan for ERA monitoring

                               

Platform, scoreboard and dashboard indicators suggested for tracking action on issues such as research assessment

The European Commission has presented its plan for monitoring national implementation of the EU’s updated European Research Area policy package, which could include actions on reforming research assessment and making research careers more attractive.

The ERA is a two-decade-long initiative for improving European research, such as by reducing obstacles to the free flow of researchers and knowledge. Having acknowledged that progress on the ERA had slowed in recent years, the EU has been revitalising the initiative by picking new priorities and modes of governance for it.
